Suzanne originally reserved photographer Mariah Milan for photos with her family, including fiancé Matt, her son, daughter-in-law, and adorable granddaughter, while they were all here on vacation. However, a few days before their family photo session was scheduled, Suzanne contacted Mariah asking if they could turn it into a wedding instead.
Suzanne was an incredibly relaxed bride. We planned most of the details through text while they were adventuring around the island.
They were staying at Paia Inn and wanted a family-friendly spot nearby on the North Shore. Baby Beach in Spreckelsville was the perfect choice. We were really excited about the location because it’s not a beach that gets used for weddings often. In fact, none of us had ever been involved or seen a wedding there before. The lagoon was especially calm that day and the red dirt contrasted beautifully with Suzanne’s blue gown.
Maui has a way of grabbing people, so we’re never surprised when couples decide to get hitched while they’re visiting. We were so honored to help Matt and Suzanne leave with new rings and titles of husband and wife in addition to their suntans.
